al wish

my updated additions & comments on my wish list posted 13 July 2012

The role I now most wish my Broadway Baby to perform is Lara in the new stage musical adaption Of Boris Pasternak's legendary novel "Doctor Zhivago" by composer Lucy Simon and lyrics by Michael Korrie & Amy Powers. I had the privilege to go to the world premiere of this new work in Sydney last year and again in Brisbane a few months later. It has tentatively been slated to make it to Broadway sometime in 2014. Having seen my favourite male musical artist, Anthony Warlow creating the title role, I would most definitely want him to take the role to Broadway and as Yuri sings when first lays his eyes on Lara in the show "Who is she?", I cannot think of any performer who is more suited to this delectable role of Lara than unashamed Russian devotee and of this novel as Al! Oh please, please can this happen! I wish!
