if i loved you

Where do I begin...as the classic Irving Berlin song goes!

I saw Al for the first time behind the see-through curtain during the overture of Rodger's & Hammerstein's darkest musical, "Carousel", at the Savoy Theatre in London's West End at the 2.30 matinee on Tuesday, 16 June 2009 and was immediately drawn to her.

I was mesmerized by Al, playing the pivotal role of Julie Jordan, in her initial scene of her disarmingly playful interplay with Billy Bigelow, performed triumphantly by fellow American performer, Jeremiah James. Then my heart melted and indeed smouldered when Al literally lurched into one of the most moving love songs ever written, "If I loved you". This is where "I love Al" all began and has only intensified since these stupendous and so memorable first moments of Al!

When I went to check out who and where this theatrical sensation came from, I found that she was on Twitter, so I joined Twitter and have been following Al ever since.

just exactly how I'd be...meeting al

I met Al for first time after "Carousel" by Reprise Theatre at UCLA in Los Angeles, USA in February 2010, which I had been to for a second time in and in the photo above you can see she is gorgeous. She was so wonderful to meet 6 months after falling in love first with her immense talent and then later through twitter, her blog and her own website how wonderful she is and how beautiful she is. Meeting her was just so fantastic, she is so sincere and invited me to keep in touch with her, which I certainly have since!

I have been struck by Al's beauty and genuine interest in me in the 3 separate personal meetings I have had the privilege of, which is over and above her unparalleled theatrical and emotional intensity together with her sumptuous vocal artistry in all her performances!
